Styles for pet portraits

There's no single way to tattoo your pet. Depending on how you want to remember or honor them, we work in various styles:

• Realism: The most popular option for tributes. Hair, eyes, expression — all with the highest possible level of detail

• Slim and minimalist line: Less is more. A clean silhouette can say as much as a full portrait.

• Illustrative or neo-traditional: More stylish, with its own personality and a lot of character

• Cartoon: For those who want something more cheerful and playful, true to the spirit of the animal

• With added elements: Flowers, wings, dates, names… anything you want to include to complete the story

Body sizes and areas

• Small pieces (wrist, ankle, behind the ear): work well with fine lines or minimalism

• Average size (forearm, shoulder, calf): the most versatile, suitable for almost any style

• Large pieces (back, chest, thigh): essential if you want a realistic portrait with all the details

For realism, size matters. If you want the fur and the expression to look truly lifelike, we need space to work properly. We'll tell you this honestly during the consultation.

How we work on your design

Before we start tattooing, we talk. We want to understand what kind of animal it was, what its personality was like, what made that relationship special. It's not protocol—it's the only way to do a good job.

For the consultation we ask you to:

1. Photos, the better. With good lighting, from several angles, so that the face is clearly visible

2. Tell us something about him or her. Those details influence the design more than it seems

3. Think about whether you want to add anything else: a name, a date, some object that represents it

4. Get advice. If you're unsure about the style, we'll help you find the one that works best.
